There's nothing quite like a romantic getaway to Joshua Tree to set the stage for the perfect surprise proposal! When Luke reached out to me to photograph the proposal I was so excited! Once we hopped on a call to go over his vision for the proposal to Jenny, I knew it was going to be extra special.
Luke had been planning the perfect proposal for months! He knew that the stunning desert landscape and cozy atmosphere of a Joshua Tree Airbnb would be the perfect setting. Every detail of the proposal was seriously planned perfectly! He packed Jenny a cozy matching set for the morning of, had the sweetest hand-written note ready, and got her the exact ring she wanted with a custom box. Jenny was completely surprised and overwhelmed with emotion, and she said yes without hesitation!
Post-Proposal Celebratory Breakfast at their Joshua Tree Airbnb
Luke told me on our planning call how he hoped to incorporate their morning routine as a part of the proposal too. So that is exactly what we did! He was prepared with everything they needed for a delicious breakfast. They cooked their meal together while dancing in the kitchen, and enjoyed their coffee on the front porch. I stood back and documented the moments authentically. It was beautiful to capture the two as they enjoyed each other's company and celebrated their engagement in the most romantic way possible.
The chemistry between these two was simply beautiful. Jenny was giddy with excitement, and I loved watching as they enjoyed their romantic morning. After breakfast, they got cozy in the kitchen and refilled their coffee mugs before heading to the porch. It was a beautiful morning in Joshua Tree!
Newly-Engaged Couch Cuddles are a must
As we were wrapping up the engagement celebrations, Jenny and Luke came inside and snuggled up on the couch! I just HAD to snag a couple more pictures before leaving the couple to enjoy the rest of their day.

The romantic Joshua Tree engagement surprises aren't over yet.
After the surprise proposal, the couple spent the day exploring Joshua Tree's natural beauty, hiking through the desert, and admiring the picturesque landscape. Little did Jenny know, there were still more surprises in store for her that evening!
Luke hired a private chef and a picnic company to set up a romantic dinner. The couple arrived back at the Airbnb to find a beautifully decorated table, complete with candles, flowers, and fine china. The chef had prepared a five-course meal, which they enjoyed as the sun set over the desert.
Obviously we had to take advantage of the amazing sunset and snap some more photos in between courses!
